Hosting memorable experiences is at the heart of what we do at Barrel & Bond Whisky Tasting, and our first corporate event in Glasgow was certainly one to remember. We were delighted to provide a whisky tasting experience for the team at Brush Group as they celebrated the opening of a brand-new office for their subsidiary Rybka.

The event brought together company staff, industry clients, and partners to mark the occasion in style. Corporate events like these are a brilliant opportunity for teams to connect, celebrate milestones, and create memorable experiences beyond the boardroom.

Celebrating a New Office Opening in Glasgow

The evening was organised to celebrate Rybka’s new Glasgow office, and the atmosphere throughout the event perfectly captured the excitement of a growing business entering a new chapter.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed yet lively environment, with plenty of opportunities to network, catch up with colleagues, and enjoy the celebrations. Events like this highlight why corporate entertainment experiences such as whisky tastings are becoming increasingly popular for company launches, client events, and team celebrations.

Activities, Networking and a Special Guest

Alongside the whisky tasting, guests were able to enjoy a range of activities during the evening. One particularly popular addition was mini golf, which gave attendees the chance to relax, compete with colleagues, and add a fun interactive element to the event.

A standout moment of the evening was a speech from former Scotland rugby captain Kelly Brown, who shared insights from his career in professional sport. His talk added an inspiring touch to the event and was warmly received by everyone in attendance.

A Whisky Tasting Experience to Remember

Of course, the highlight for many guests was the guided whisky tasting experience itself.

During the session, guests explored a selection of carefully chosen whiskies, learning about their origins, flavours, and unique characteristics. Whether guests were seasoned whisky drinkers or completely new to Scotch whisky, the tasting offered something for everyone.

The feedback from the evening was fantastic. Staff, clients, and event organisers all shared how much they enjoyed the experience, with many commenting on how the whisky tasting created a great talking point and helped bring people together.

Why Whisky Tastings Work So Well for Corporate Events

Corporate whisky tastings have become a popular choice for companies looking to offer something a little different at their events. They provide:

  • A social, engaging activity for guests

  • A chance to learn about Scotland’s famous whisky heritage

  • A memorable experience that encourages conversation and networking

  • A premium yet relaxed atmosphere suitable for both staff and clients

For office openings, client entertainment, and corporate celebrations, whisky tastings provide the perfect balance of education, entertainment, and atmosphere.

Looking Ahead

It was a pleasure to be part of such a fantastic celebration for Brush Group and Rybka, and we’re incredibly grateful for the warm welcome we received in Glasgow.

We look forward to hosting more corporate whisky tasting events across Scotland and the UK, bringing people together through great whisky, great stories, and great company.
