Our story
Growing up in Scotland, whisky has always been part of my heritage. But Barrel & Bond began with a single evening.
A friend who had always insisted they didn’t like whisky reluctantly tried a square of dark chocolate before their next sip. Their expression changed immediately. The whisky they’d dismissed moments earlier revealed flavours they never knew existed.
That moment wasn’t really about whisky. It was about discovering something unexpected, together. I founded Barrel & Bond in 2024 to share that feeling, and today I host tastings for birthdays, stag and hen dos, weddings, corporate events and festivals across England, Scotland and Wales.
Qualified and passionately hosted
I’m an SQA-qualified whisky host and hold the Edinburgh Whisky Academy’s Certificate in Scotch Whisky. Every tasting is relaxed, welcoming and free of jargon, whether your guests are complete beginners or lifelong enthusiasts.
I’ve hosted at festivals, restaurants, private parties, stag dos and corporate events. Every event is different, and that’s exactly how I like it.
